The Weaver Ranch is typical South Texas Tamaulipan brush with sandy loam soil. The brush density ranges from heavy to open areas with native grasses. Two pastures have been set aside specifically for photography. Abundant wildlife is present on the ranch, including insects, reptiles, amphibians, mammals (deer, javelina, coyotes, and nilgai), and numerous birds, with a Valley Land Fund naturalist identifying fifty-four species in just two hours.
